Finnish International School to launch in Taiwan

EduCluster Finland (ECF) has signed an agreement with Taiwan’s DT Company Ltd to co-create a Finnish International School in Taoyuan city, Taiwan. For the signing, both companies were represented by their respective CEOs, Mr Jyrki Saarivaara and Mr Alan IS Huang. The ceremony, held in Jyväskylä, marks the beginning of a long-term collaborative partnership.

The bilingual school, which will accommodate both local and expatriate students, is set to open its doors in 2020. While the school will be operated as a Finnish-style school, teaching will follow a blended Finnish-Taiwanese curriculum.

ECF will closely work with DT Company during the school’s set-up phase to prepare for the launch. Once the school transitions into its operational phase, ECF will serve as the school’s quality management partner, supporting the learning community in delivering first-class education.

“The start of this partnership is a momentous occasion for EduCluster Finland, marking our first venture in Taiwan and our fifth school partnership globally” remarked ECF’s CEO Jyrki Saarivaara.

Speaking at the ceremony, DT Company’s CEO Alan IS Huang stated: “We are extremely honoured to collaborate with EduCluster Finland to provide future education in Taiwan today.”
