Finland Oman School

Finland Oman School was established and opened in 2018 by Oman Educational Services. The school is owned and operated by Oman Educational Services with EduCluster Finland collaborating as a quality partner supporting various aspects of the school. The school is based in Muscat.

Presently the school offers education for students from grades KG1-10 and this will continue to expand gradually up to grade 12.  The school attracts Omani and expatriate students.

The School Principal is from Finland, Ms. Terhi Merensky and the staff consists of local, Finnish and international teachers.

The school follows a bilingual curriculum. In KG the school curriculum closely follows the Finnish National Core Curriculum with some local adaptations. As students’ progress into school grades 1-5 there is a Omani bilingual curriculum, which integrates teaching and learning methodologies from Finland. From grade 6 onward the curriculum gradually transitions towards National Curriculum for England blended with Omani bilingual curriculum.

The school is part of a wider hub of educational know-how since it shares a campus with The German University of Technology in Oman (RWTH Aachen), which is also owned and operated by Oman Educational Services.
