Teaching practice at Finland International School Pune

Finland International School Pune locates in the city of Pune, India. The first of its kind in India, the school opened its doors in August 2022. The Finnish National Core Curriculum is at the heart of the school’s operations, with best practices from Finland merged with local requirements. In the academic year 2023-2024, the school is hosting grades from nursery to grade 6 (ages 2–11), and the school will gradually expand to a full K12 model. The school Principal and half of the staff are from Finland.

We are offering to our trainees:

  • We have highly educated Finnish and local teachers from nursery to G6 (children’s ages between 2-11). Our pedagogical staff is experienced in working in the international education field with Finnish pedagogy, and they are motivated to mentor upcoming trainees starting from September 2023.
  • The length of the training is decided individually with the trainee depending on the requirements of the practice period.

We are looking for:

  • Open minded, innovative, and committed trainees, who are passionate about sharing their knowledge, applying Finnish teaching and learning new practices in an international environment.
  • Good level of verbal, and written English skills
  • Early Childhood Education, Class, and Special Education Teacher trainees

The trainee is expected to arrange and cover the costs for accommodation, flights, VISA, transportation, and life in general.
