Finland International School in India

EduCluster Finland (ECF) is delighted to announce that it has signed an agreement with Goenka Global Education to co-create a Finnish International School in Pune, the second-largest city in the Indian state of Maharashtra after Mumbai. The Kindergarten to Grade 5 school is set to launch in summer 2020, and reflects a strategic response to the increasing demand for international schools in India. The pioneering school, which will synergise world-famous Finnish pedagogical practices with local standards, culture, and educational philosophy, is expected to be the first of many in the region.

ECF’s CEO Mr Jyrki Saarivaara together with the CEO of Goenka Inc. Mr Shashank Goenka agreed to the new partnership in July.

‘We at EduCluster Finland are delighted to announce our new partnership with Goenka Global Education and look forward to adding new Finnish International schools to the partnership in the coming months. Both companies have a strong track record in bringing the best possible education to the local market. ECF’s experience in contextualising Finnish practices for use overseas and Goenka’s strong footprint in all levels of education in India, make for a fabulous partnership.’ said Mr Jyrki Saarivaara, CEO of Educluster Finland.
