Qatar-Finland International School

Qatar-Finland International School was established in 2014 at the invitation of the Qatari Ministry of Education. The school is based in Doha and is operated by EduCluster Finland.

Presently the school offers education for students from grades 0-12, age groups 5-18 and had the first graduates from Qatar-Finland International High School in spring 2022. There are over 700 students in the school coming from over 60 nationalities. Qatari students make up approximately 35% of the student population.

The Principal Mr. Yousri Youssef, is from Finland and 54% of the teaching staff are Finnish. There are 92 pedagogical staff in total in the school, meaning an adult to student ratio of 1:8.

The school’s curriculum is based on the Finnish National Core Curriculum with local adaptation and additional content to align with Qatari standards.

The school serves as a hub of educational know-how, delivering teacher training and professional development programmes in the region.
