Finland International School to launch in Uzbekistan

EduCluster Finland (ECF) is delighted to announce that it has signed an agreement with Tashkent Education to co-create a Finland International School in Tashkent, the capital city of UzbekistanThe school is planned to grow to be a full 1-12 school. The school will open in September 2021 with grade 1 and 2 in new purpose-built premisesthe school will continue to grow in subsequent years to full capacity. This new school project in Uzbekistan reflects a strategic response to the increasing demand for international private schools in Uzbekistan. This pioneering school, which will synergise world-famous Finnish pedagogical practices with local standards, culture, and educational philosophy, is expected to be the first of many in the region. 

 ECF’s CEO Mrs Kati Loponen together with the CEO of Tashkent Education Mr Azamat Kudratov agreed to the new partnership remotely last week.

The synergy of our two complementary organisations brings together Finnish and Uzbek educational expertise for the benefit of the students and families that we serve said Mrs Kati Loponen, CEO of Educluster Finland. 

Tashkent Education’s CEO Mr Azamat Kudratov stated, ‘The reputation of the Finnish education system is acknowledged globally. Appreciating ECF’s international project achievements, we look forward to importing the leading school education practice to Uzbekistan. This project of the School of Tashkent will be the first International Finnish School in our country. I am sure that Finnish educational experience will make a significant impact to the further development of the Uzbek school education system.’
