Finland Academic School Al-Farabi (FASAF)

Finland Academic School Al-Farabi (FASAF) started in September 2021 as a part of the highly esteemed Al-Farabi Academic School, in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. There are around 90 students studying in the Finnish stream classes 0 to 5. The school is led by a Finnish principal Ms. Katri Anttila. The staff consists of an expert team of 20 global-minded local and Finnish education professionals. In the coming years, the school will gradually expand to cover the whole K-12 school path. A Finnish curriculum is used with required adaptations for the unique trilingual environment of Kazakhstan. The main language of instruction is English, with some subjects taught in Kazakh and Russian.

The school offers distinguished Finnish-style education in the rapidly growing city of Shymkent.
